Little Train Route

1. BOTANICAL GARDEN OF CAP ROIG

Jardins de Cap Roig were created by the Woevodsky marriage in 1927. It is a beautiful space, located in the middle of the Costa Brava, which combines botany, history, landscape and art. There are more than 1000 plant species from all regions with Mediterranean climate. One of the most emblematic symbols of this space is the castle, that it was built with the ferruginous stone of this region. The gardens are also the scenario of the main music festival of la Costa Brava: Cap Roig Festival.

Nowadays, there is a new program of guided tours with 5 different itineraries, adapted to public, elderly people, families and schoolchildren. The aim in all the activities is to value our plant heritage, promoting its knowledge, conservation and respect. Moreover, the visitors will discover the history of Jardins de Cap Roig, as well as the characteristics of the landscape where it was built.

2. MONUMENTAL SET OF SAINT SEBASTIAN

The Sant Sebastià de la Guarda Monumental Complex bears witness to the occupation of a privileged place for at least 2,600 years. Here we can visit an indicated Iberian site (6th to 1st centuries b.C), the 15th century watchtower (Cultural Good of National Interest), the Hermitage and hostel from the 18th century and a 19th-century lighthouse; all on the top of a mountain with cliffs dropping into the sea and one of the best panoramic views of the Costa Brava.
