This network is located along the northeast part of the Girona region, specifically in Alt Empord\u00e0 and the coast of the French part of Catalonia (Southern France). \u00abBiciTransCat\u00bb is the new coastal axis project along the EuroVelo 8 and the Pirinexus bicycle routes.<\/p>\n<p>Six partner-members are participating in this initiative: the <strong>Girona Greenways Consortium<\/strong>, leading the project, the <strong>Figueres City Council<\/strong>, the <strong>Conseil D\u00e9partamentale des Pyr\u00e9n\u00e9es-Orientales<\/strong><strong>,<\/strong> the <strong>Communaut\u00e9 Urbaine Perpignan M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e<\/strong><strong>,<\/strong>\u00a0the<strong> Alt Empord\u00e0 County Council<\/strong> and the <strong>Diputaci\u00f3 de Girona<\/strong> as an associated entity.<\/p>\n<p>The website explains the project in detail, with official documents, and offers safety and mobility advice, news related to the development of the work, and a link to all the participating entities.<\/p>\n<p>The budget for the project is \u20ac4,689,269.25, co-funded with 65% from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Interreg V-A Spain-France-Andorra Program (POCTEFA 2014-2020).<\/p>\n<p>\u00abBiciTransCat\u00bb was presented on May 31, 2017, during the second POCTEFA call for projects, under the official name\u00abEFA156\/16 BiciTransCat. Development of new bikeable itineraries and multimodal border links for promoting sustainable mobility\u00bb.
